Printed, back-printed
In industrial signage that is printed the print colours are transferred to the substrate using printing methods such as screen printing, offset printing or digital printing.
Printed signs, front plates and front panels are used on one hand if high demands are placed on the colours, but also where particularly high resistance to mechanical, chemical and weather conditions is not needed.
Labels, front films, and keyboard films are usually inscribed using printing methods. The printing can be protected by a lamination. With back-printed industrial signage the reverse side of a transparent substrate is printed. This way the printing is protected by the material itself.
